Kid Mechanix, Inc. apps are developed by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Community Helpers addresses a very specific area of language development – incorporating – identification, labelling, function, and features of community helpers/occupations. This app can be used by teachers in a typical classroom setting who are teaching a unit on Occupations. It can also be used by Speech and Language Pathologists, ABA Therapists, and Tutors who need a language intervention tool for individuals with language and/or developmental delays. This app is simple to use. Each student looks at an illustration, and either reads or listens to the instruction. Then the student either selects the correct picture or gives a verbal response, depending on the level. The app provides feedback for correct responses only.
